The Iconic Duo Is Back: ‘Rush Hour 4’ In The Works, Confirmed By Jackie Chan
“Don’t be messing with me, Lee! I will slap you so hard you’ll end up in the Ming Dynasty!”
Did that line sound familiar?
For those who remember, good news – the iconic Rush Hour franchise is back after 15 years! If you’re unaware, Rush Hour is an action-comedy film franchise starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker that made a total of $849 million at the box office globally.
The first Rush Hour was released in 1998, Rush Hour 2 in 2001, and Rush Hour 3 in 2007.
After appearing at the Red Sea International Film Festival, Jackie Chan has confirmed that Rush Hour 4 is in the works.
In 2018, Chan’s co-star, Chris Tucker, revealed that the franchise’s fourth instalment was on the cards.
“It’s happening,” Tucker said. “This is gonna be the rush of all rushes. Jackie is ready and we want to do this so that people don’t ever forget it.”
However, the director of the first Rush Hour movie, Brett Ratner, will likely not be directing the 4th movie due to his sexual misconduct that led to him being dropped by the movie studio, as reported by IGN SEA.
While there is still no further information on the upcoming director, plot, cast, and release date, everyone is surely looking forward to seeing Chan and Tucker at it again in Rush Hour 4.
