Rapper Takeoff From The Migos Killed In Houston, Celebs Mourn Passing
Rapper Takeoff from the monumental rap trio The Migos has been shot and killed at the age of 28 at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas.
According to various reports, Takeoff was with his uncle/co-rapper Quavo at said bowling alley who was playing a dice game which ended in an altercation that turned into a shooting.
Once authorities arrived on the scene, they discovered only 1 man dead – Takeoff, while 2 others were also reported to have been injured but were rushed to hospitals in separate vehicles.
A spokesperson from the Houston Police Department claimed that security guards within the area had heard gunshots but did not see who did it.
As of right now, a full investigation of the premise is currently underway to determine the culprit(s) behind the shooting that took place.
The Migos are probably best known for their club-oriented radio hits throughout the years such as ‘Versace’, ‘Bad and Boujee’ and ‘Stir Fry’ to name a few.
Despite the trio’s immense impact and contributions to the world of hip-hop, Offset (middle) broke apart from the group earlier this year to focus on his solo career even though all 3 members have had their own solo projects prior to his departure.
All three Migos are family members with Quavo (left) being the uncle to Takeoff and Offset his cousin. Many celebrities and fans were quick to mourn the loss of the late rapper all over social media.
Other fellow rappers, friends and associates flocked to the last post he shared on his Instagram to express their disbelief and condolences once news of his death was confirmed.
Whether you’re a fan of Takeoff, The Migos or neither, I think we can all agree that senseless killing is never justifiable (especially when it’s over a dice game).
Our prayers and condolences go out to Quavo, Offset and the rest of Takeoff’s family and loved ones. Thank you for what you did for the culture – a fan.
