Starting July 2009 Hong Kong started the Plastic Bag Levy Scheme where shoppers will have to bring their own eco friendly bags and if they don’t have their own bags registered retailers will have to charge a fee of US$6 cents for every provided plastic bag with a handle. JUICE thinks this is a novel idea, especially when we Malaysians are guilty of also using a lot of plastic bags. Look at just a single take out meal from a food court. Most of the time, its packed in plastic, then in a Styrofoam box which will then be put in together with a pair of plastic utensils in another plastic bag and what do you get? A Matryoshka type environmental abomination!

Inspired by the recent environmental turn of events in Hong Kong, well known fashion label CLOT(who is from HK as well) decided to contribute to also society by releasing their very own tote bag! The aptly named ‘CLOT Green Project’ is for every environmental tote that is purchased at a Juice store, you will be offered a stamp collection card. A single stamp can be collected after every purchase over RM400. With 10 stamps you will receive a surprise exclusive gift for supporting the CLOT Green Project.
