Beyoncé, Black Eyed Peas + NERD Top F1 ROCKS Singapore Bill
Singapore is once again gearing up for its GP Season which proudly culminates in the world’s only F1 night race. And trust those kiasu islanders to top Malaysia’s recent Jamiroquai F1 Concert with their own race-music-festival. This time, the season will feature the first F1 ROCKS – an extravagant 3-night concert from 24 to 26 September with the superstar likes of Beyoncé, Black Eyed Peas, Chinese pop legend ‘Heavenly King’ Jacky Cheung, bearded biker rockers ZZ Top, Simple Minds, NERD and Da Mouth. But that’s NOT all, folks!
Entertainment is not restricted to the track. More international artists are scheduled to perform around the circuit park from 25 to 27 September. And F1 ticket holders can enjoy the performances for FREE.
Around 8 locations within the Marina Bay Street Circuit, another star-studded line-up awaits led by soulstress Chaka Khan, veteran boyband Backstreet Boys and Scottish rockers Travis. Joining them will be Senegalese legend and one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People Youssou N’ Dour, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Mavis Staples, Filipino pop sensation Rivermaya and LA culture-mashers Ozomatli.
On the dance front, Singapore’s iconic Zouk club will be hosting the likes of UK techno godfather Carl Cox and prog tech house meister John Digweed. Throw on top independant offerings from Singapore clubs and it’s going to be one heck of a fast paced weekend.
So folks, fancy a trip down to our gracious chewing-gum-free neighbour for a weekend of fun? Hit up www.f1rocks.com for more info.
