Air Max 1 Returns
Classics will remain. It makes you wonder what if anything from present times will one day be deemed classic and remain forever. The Air Max 1 is undoubtedly one of Nike’s undying issues since it was introduced in 1987 as the first example of Air Max-branded technologies. Their return this season should have sneaker fans sweating through their socks. Sole What? has first dibs on the return this Saturday, and they’ve shared it here with JUICE.
The Nike Air Max utilises a large air cushioning unit visible at the side of the midsole for most models. 1993 saw the launch of the fully visible heel Air Unit, apparent in the back and sides. The follow up 1995 model featured visible forefoot Air. In 1997, the model was the first to include a full-length Air bag. The Beatles’ song ‘Revolution’ was used in a television commercial to promote the Air Max and it was the first and only time that a Beatles song has been used in a TV ad.
Sole What? is releasing 2 colourways this coming Saturday at their stores in Gardens and Sungei Wang. They are priced at RM399 per pair. The Air Max 1 OG is a Quickstrike release and it’s only exclusive at Sole What? stores! You better make sure you cop your own pair right when it is out this Saturday 11 July.
Oh, we found a Nike Air Max 1 documentation by Tinker Hatfield for you. Ain’t we nice….
