It was mid-March when JUICE attended the launch of Choons Awards. Tomorrow marks the first of the dance music awards presentation. Honouring the club nights to DJs, it’s making a mark to show love to underappreciated peeps that made our nights what they are. Nominated peeps include DJ Gaijin, DJ Fuzz, Terence C, Anowl, DJ Gabriel, Twilight Actiongirl and a whole lot more. Raw is gonna be buzzing!

The awards night will be honouring:

Best Club Night Of The Year 2008/09
Best House DJ Of The Year 2008/09
Best Drum ‘n’ Bass DJ Of The Year 2008/09
Best HipHop, R&B & Soul DJ Of The Year 2008/09
Best Resident DJ Of The Year 2008/09
Best New DJ Of The Year 2008/09
Best Live Act Of The Year 2008/09

Choons Awards will be hosted by Fly FM’s Prem and Jules, while music entertainment will be coming from DJ Fono, Funk.K and Mac, with Tugu Drummers hitting us up with their reverberating sound of drums. You know it’s gonna be massive! It’s more than just an award show. Choons Awards is gonna be a parrr-tayyy!

Invited guests will receive double invites for upcoming Choons Awards CD album launch party and of course, a copy of the Choons Awards 2009 CD. This award show is organised by Bionic DJ Academy and Take Off Records, sponsored by Heineken and Skyy Vodka and supported by MidiSpecialist, ESI, Native Instrument, FL Studio, Reason, Ableton, Traktor Scratch Pro, Allies DJ Artillery, and UDG.
