Flying abroad for a university experience of a lifetime is not necessarily the best option anymore. Travelling for work or leisure, or relocating for economic purposes, is fine. But if your time is on the dime, and if you’re going to be struggling to keep up good grades while trying to get the best of your experience, it might just be a better choice to opt for a local university.
The International University of Malaya-Wales (IUMW) is a collaboration between two of the most renowned universities in the world; Malaysia’s very own University Malaya and University of Wales, United Kingdom.
Churning out some of the most cutting edge solutions within the academic and professional world while bringing a dash of globalisation home for the development of society, IUMW is recognised for its innovative teaching and learning, social services, and education. Its academicians will prepare you to achieve milestones not just academically, but also personally.
To introduce the public to its array of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, which includes Business & Law, Foundation Studies, Language & Malaysian Studies, Art & Humanities, Computer Science, Psychology and Biotechnology, IUMW is organising a loud, proud, and happening EduCarnival 2017 to show you what they have to offer. Skip the massive crowd during Education Fair and head to the IUMW EduCarnival, the university’s first educational carnival since its student recruitment in 2013.
Located in the heart of the city, the 3-day event is set to showcase guests to a multitude of programmes and campus facilities available at IUMW with faculty demonstrations, career exhibitions, campus tours, and course counselling. And it’s not all study-talk! Be entertained by the presence of food trucks, games, and activities. Who knows? You might win something from one of the carnival’s giveaways too.
IUMW also has an impressive list of clubs and societies that trade knowledge on subjects like Henna art, traditional food, and dance. Also present will be 12 companies including Hostel Hunting, Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN), and job-seeking site WOBB, to ease the academic journey of those who require accommodation, financial aid, or career advice from job-seeking platforms.
