VIDEO: Tonight Alive Premieres Lyric Video For ‘World Away’
Sydney-based rock band Tonight Alive brings Jenna McDougall (vocals), Whakaio Taahi (lead guitar), Cameron Adler (bass), Jake Hardy (rhythm guitarist), and Matt Best (drums) to launch a new song titled ‘World Away’, together with a lyric video showing Jenna sporting a short new hairdo over a gritty video filter. This is the band’s first release with Hopeless Record, who was the label behind bands from our emo days like Yellowcard and Sum 41, to name a few. As a continuation of the band’s quest for empowerment and self-understanding, ‘World Away’ was born to “develop a personal relationship with darkness” by finding the chance for growth in struggle. Made outstanding by Jenna’s vocals and banging drums for an intro, the song descends into an almost anthem-like melody, with multiple “Whoas” echoing in the background.

The band is currently on a UK tour with You Me At Six, before appearing at this year’s Slam Dunk Festival.
