The King Blues: I Got Love
2009 has so far been good to the consciously rude boys, The King Blues. Hitting it big with their sophomore album Save The World, Get The Girl, the soul ska rappers have played to a sold out London crowd with Rise Against, come swooping out on the cover of Kerrang! Magazine, and even had their own billboard with a spray painted open letter to PM Gordon Brown. Called “the most exciting live band in Britain” by Kerrang!, The King Blues drop their aggression and show a lighter, more hippie side to their music with latest single ‘I Got Love’. The acoustic-driven vibe that comes off this single reminds us of Sublime’s ‘(Love Is) What I Got’ and revives our belief that music can truly unite the world. Positive lyrics aside, this is one feel-good hit not to be missed. One love, y’all!
