Andy Warhol: Social Circus
Andy Warhol was an essential piece to the harlequin puzzle that was the pop art movement. He had expressed his artistry using various mediums from, photography to painting to hand drawing to silkscreen production and many more, for over 30 years. The number of pieces he churned out during his lifetime is uncountable — but leave it to several collectors to get their hands on them for the sake of preservation and ensuring his legacy is not forgotten.
Singaporean arts and nature conservation, The Ryan Foundation, has acquired a few polaroids and artworks done by Warhol himself for this travelling exhibition; the Andy Warhol: Social Circus exhibition first came to play in Singapore during its Art Week and has now made its way to our city, Kuala Lumpur. It’s not going to be here for long though, so if you’d like to see a few Warhol originals as well as the opportunity to recreate the famous photograph of him on the red sofa so that your Instagram grid looks a little more conscious of the arts culture. Head over to The Row to check it out.
