Major Drop and Pestle Mortar’s ‘Malaysia Through Our Eyes’ Contest
The team at Pestle & Mortar Clothing (PMC) and Major Drop join forces to remind Malaysians about our country’s glory through a photography competition entitled ‘Malaysia Through Our Eyes’. The mechanics are straightforward; upload three (or more) photos that represent Malaysia the most accurately. It can be a plate of nasi lemak, or of the Twin Towers, or of the inevitable Chinese New Year jam (it starts today, folks) — there are no guidelines, just as long as it displays your interpretation of home. Not forgetting the caption, it has to be suitable for your photo — so if it’s going to be a quote of a beautiful sky, the photo best be of a beautiful sky and not a random plate of food. Then of course comes the hashtagging; include #MajorLoveMy and tag @pestlemortarclothing and @majordropofficial as well.
A total of three finalists will be shortlisted to exhibit their photographs at PMC’s outlet in Bangsar as well as Major Drop’s in Sunway Pyramid. The exhibition isn’t just there for display purposes, this is how the winner will be chosen; the public will have to visit the stores to vote for which photo they like best. The photo with the most votes wins — obviously. The winner will receive an opportunity to launch a three-piece photo tee capsule collection, direct the collection’s lookbook photographs, have said capsule collection be sold at both outlets, and have PMC and Major Drop by their side throughout the entire process. All three finalists will also receive a two-page spread in The Deck.
‘Malaysia Through Our Eyes’ kicked off on Monday 1 February ’16 and ends on Monday 22 February ’16. Get snappin’.
