No matter which album you’ve come upon, Beach House has always been releasing critically acclaimed albums since the band’s conception in 2006. The duo is known for its hazy pop arrangements that can either take on a form of a dream-like sequence or even a melancholy hymn. Taken from the band’s fifth studio album Depression Cherry is single ‘Sparks’; the new track evidently showcases a sound that is louder and that could fill a large arena. It’s full of saturation; rough-edged guitar, organ-esque keys, and plenty of reverb that amalgamate well with Victoria Legrand’s entrancing vocals. To be blunt, it’s quite the perfect song to signal their return.
