‘Satron’ is a confluence of the retro videogame-inspired ‘Private Number‘ and Adam Kasturi’s traditionally post-grime influences. If the cover art and the lowering of BPM halfway through the track are anything to go by, probably the likes of DJ Smokey and Spaceghostpurrp as well. As always, Adam is a distinctive producer who can channel all of these without veering into an obvious facsimile of a well-established sound unique to certain independent labels — something his trendier contemporaries have trouble accomplishing. Now if only there were a follow-up to Mitos in the works…
