Molek FM8TV Showdown Streetfest 2010
The biggest and most coveted Malaysian hip hop festival this year, the 8TV Showdown Streetfest is going to showcase and bring out the best in every facet of hip hop culture. From B-boys to graffiti art, MCs, DJs and street dancing, there’s also a great lineup of artists slated to perform; urban legends Joe Flizzow, Mizz Nina, Altimet, Sasi the Don, Jin Hackman and One Nation Emcees. And it’s not called a showdown for nuthin’ – there’ll be a mighty showdown by the top 11 crews of the day. To be held on the 10th of October at Sunway Pyramid open carpark space; it doesn’t get more gangsta than this.
8TV Showdown Steetfest is bringing it back to the streets with this one of a kind reality dance battle crew show, and will be streamed live from www.apps.8tv.com.my/showdown. There’s going to be loads of showcases, workshops and battles covering B-boying, MCing, DJing and graffiti art, lead by graffiti artist Phobia Klik, DJ Krates from Mixology DJ Academy, MC Vandal and street dancers Dennis Yin, Prosenjit Kundu (USA) and Bboy Mahmud (SG). There’ll also be a career talk ‘Hip Hop 4 Life’ given by Norman from KRU, Joe Flizzow and Alam (Wakaka Crew).
Set to be an event for exciting hip hop and fusion dance styles come together and battle it out, with professional training and tricky challenges thrown into the mix. To top it all off, the concert at the end of the night takes place alongside a huge street party. To represent yourself and bring everything hip hop to the table, register yourself for B-boy battle/cypher on the day from 11am to 12pm.
