Molek FM2010 Animal Charity Calendar
The good people of Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) and Malaysian National Animal Welfare Foundation (MNAWF) are speaking up for the animals! Meow meow meow and woof woof woof woof indeed. They roped in Digital Imaging Publications and our local celebrities to create awareness of the plight of animals through the 2010 Animal Charity Calendar.
Supermodel and businesswoman Amber Chia spoke to Digital Imaging Publications who publishes Pets Lover magazine, over her love of animals and wanting to use her fame to help the animals out and the calendar idea seems natural. Amber managed to rope in her fellow celebrity friends Jojo Struys, Serena C and Angel Wong for the project with their pets around the motto “we care; we love; we support”.
Here’s what the SPCA spokesperson Jacinta Johnson have to say, “SPCA Selangor is excited and honoured to be one of the beneficiaries for this charity calendar project. It’s encouraging to see the celebrities pitching in to help the animals by using their influence to promote responsible pet ownership. As pet owners and animal lovers learn to treat their own pets kindly, we really hope that people will also remember the plight of homeless, abandoned and neglected animals in Malaysia as they look at their calendars – everyday they can be the difference they wish to see in the lives of these animals.”

The calendar will be available in most major bookstores at a price of RM19.90. RM10 is directed to both charities; with RM5 going to the SPCA, and RM5 goes to the MNAWF.
