Seeing that we’ve always kept a close eye on Laneway Festival Singapore‘s lineup yearly, we can determine that this year’s roster of international and regional acts is the most diverse they’ve ever been. There is truly everything from the genre spectrum for you and Laneway is the perfect festival to house such an array of talents. If you have a taste for bold, unabashed pop, then there’s Grimes and Shamir, whereas you can look to East India Youth for more dance-y — specifically techno-tinged — pop, while Purity Ring can be relied upon for some darker, witch house-y, future pop, as they’d like to call it. Or if you prefer, Beach House’s acclaimed brand of dream pop should have throngs of diehard fans excited. For those of you who are inclined towards r’n’b and funk, you can look forward to bass virtuoso Thundercat and the subdued groove of The Internet. Conversely, for a significant punch of adrenaline, Hudson Mohawke’s brazen take on instrumental hip hop should do the trick. This is still Laneway of course, so rock bands are aplenty too — for instance, Battles, noise rock band METZ, Violent Soho, DIIV, and more can be anticipated. Aside from that, regional acts from Singapore, the Philippines, and Hong Kong will complete the lineup for the forthcoming festival.

While unfortunately Tobias Jesso Jr. is unable to perform next year at the festival, on the bright side, The 1975 has jumped right into the lineup. Cue the shrills for Matt Healy!
