Finally, we can have condoms tasting like our favourite comfort food – nasi lemak. A Malaysian rubber company claiming to be the world’s biggest condom maker, Karex, are coming up with yet another unusual design. Some of their best-sellers include glow-in-the-dark condoms, tattoo-inspired textured ones and even condoms with studs.

These nasi lemak condoms apparently have a faint coconut scent and are coated with warming lubricant in case you want to do Simon aka Ice King.

Goh, CEO of Karex, insists that the range of wacky condoms are more than just a marketing gimmick. “For me, it’s about public health, and I want to get the message across to people,” he says. Goh wants to encourage the use of contraceptives in a predominantly conservative country. He explains, “We Malaysians are divided across our political ideas, religion and race. I felt one question that unites us all is ‘Where’s the best nasi lemak place you’ve been?'”

These special edition condoms will tentatively be hitting the shelves in November or December.
