PREMIERE: Airliftz’ ‘Gwalos’ Music Video is 88Rising-Appropriate

Courtesy of Jin Hackman’s new label This Way Up, Airliftz’ self-produced ‘Gwalos’ – the standout track off HOAX Vision’s HOAX WISHES U WELL mixtape – has not only been rerecorded with a proper mic and mixed by I-Sky, it’s also given a professional music video (done by HAVERHUCK VHS, the rap MV game All is Amazing it seems). This marks the first time Airliftz is in front of the camera, and nevertheless he comes with a natural swagger decked in JTNC by Justin Chew, Against Lab, and HUF as he pursues Instagram bae Adele Kok. HAVERHUCK eschews his penchant for Spike Jonze-esque quirkiness in favour of a more stylised flair appropriate for the debonair trap of Airliftz – an aesthetic that reminds us of videos premiered on 88Rising, complete with random flashes of Japanese text.
