LISTEN: Adam Kasturi’s Four-Part, 12-Minute Opus CAMO (I-IV)
Over the weekend, BOTANIC Records released its music and design collaboration with producer Adam Kasturi and streetwear designer Justin Chew. The audiovisual release first debuted in August during Justin Chew’s debut collection for his label JTNC at KLFW Ready To Wear ’16, where it was played during the label’s runway show. Adam’s contribution to the capsule collection is no small feat as it is a 12-minute long EP called CAMO that comprises of four parts, namely ‘No Info’, ‘Tricolour’, ‘Killa Eyez’, and ‘Skar’. The release is an industrial, gloaming work that delivers sophisticated dancefloor ready tracks. Like pistons in a machine, they judder in the mind as they take you through a sprawling soundscape that moves between buoyant and dingy spaces.
An exclusive download of CAMO in mix format is available with each purchase of the black or white oversized graphic logo t-shirts, two limited pieces from the capsule collection, which are available for purchase via BOTANIC’s Bandcamp.
