Fleet Foxes to Perform Their First Ever Show in Malaysia @ KL Live

Ushering us into the new year, Upfront Arena presents yet another exciting event that also serves as their first show of 2018 with five-piece indie rock band Fleet Foxes – made up of Robin Pecknold, Skyler Skjelset, Casey Wescott, Christian Wargo, and Morgan Henderson. The show in KL Live will be the band’s maiden show in our city, where fans can expect to hear Fleet Foxes perform songs from their newly released record Crack-Up and some of their older songs that date back to the Fleet Foxes Sun Giant era.
After taking a six year hiatus from their last album release in 2011 – the Grammy-nominated Helplessness Blues – the guys return to the big stage to share newer material that is aimed to make a defiant statement in a generation where indie rock has lost a slight amount of significance. Crack-Up intends to be an important record, and the time off from work has helped the members regain extra life lessons that serve as backdrop to the record. But, the album is nothing too far-fetched – the layered harmonies are still there and everything truly sounds even more like a collaborative effort than the band’s past work.
“Anything can teach you a lesson that you apply to what you make. And I still feel that way. I still feel like the more experience I have outside music, the closer my music is to what I want it to be. And it’s just about chasing those experiences,” explains Pecknold to a source.
