Whilst the rest of the world struggles to come up with New Year’s resolutions to achieve for this New Year, adidas Originals turns to four key personalities on the top of their respective industries and ask them what does it mean to be a true superstar.
For Pharrell Williams, “it’s not about the number of views, likes or shares”, whereas for David Beckham, “it’s not about trying to be the next big thing.” Singer-songwriter Rita Ora believes that “it’s not about following in someone else’s footsteps”, and pro-basketball player Damian Lillard doesn’t think that superstardom stems from “having your name on a flag or a jersey.”
Above all, to them, it’s not about chasing fame; fame was just a byproduct of their dedication and hard work. It’s about taking the long way round to being a Superstar, while keeping your original motivations from when you started out intact.
With the launch of this new adidas Originals campaign, we pay homage to the initial Superstar with a premium leather overhaul, featuring an off-white outsole and shell toe in classic colours of white with black, scarlet, navy or green stripes.
