Vans Own The Streets Party @ Sunway Pyramid
All American brand Vans came out with a bang when it celebrated the opening of its stores in Sunway Pyramid and One Utama with a summer party of burgers and hotdogs on the grill,  beer, music and skates, blades and BMX bikes on the ramps.
The Vans ‘Own The Streets’ party was the perfect way to showcase what the brand is all about: music, street culture, boards, bikes and art since 1966. The street was filled with skateboarders, rollerbladers and park BMX riders showing off their skills on Vans’ wave grind rail and unique one-of-a kind gator pit flybox, specially constructed out of a junk car between 2 ramps.
There were many awesome things happening at the same time -Â graff artists Sheiko and Kenji aka Black Fryday were doing their thang on customized canvases made our of 35 skate decks; watch out for that in window displays in all Vans stores soon!
The main highlight was the live stage where Couple and Bunkface played for a really enthusiastic crowd that sang along to their songs. With the sun setting while you watched all the action with a burger in one hand and a beer in another, it was what we’d call a perfect day.
Vans concept standalone stores can be found in Sunway Pyramid and One Utama. Vans is also available at Studio R, Royal Sporting House and retailers like Sole What?, Krookz, The Push, Original Classic, Zone 5, GDS Lab, Kasut You, Eng Hoe, Western Sports. For more pix check out our gallery!
