This Spring Summer, casual takes a new meaning as femininity and military style is played up in a basics collection that marries practicality and fashion at Uniqlo this season.

A soft toned colour palette is predominant in this collection. A minimal aesthetic also figures in this collection with clothing styles bearing clean and crisp cuts. Uniqlo’s Spring Summer 2011 Collection have honed in on 4 concepts: Utility coordinates the safari trend with military fashion; Romantic elements are incorporated in the designs of blouses and cardigans. Look out for flower patterns and dainty UT prints and feature pale tones such as beige and pink; Preppy manifests itself through pale colours and checks; and finally Clean’s style provides tailored, versatile pieces in neutral colours.
Among those saples that look o be sought after are Uniqlo’s chinos and cargo trousers, while Uniqlo’s the UT tee collection features the Japanese animations of Naruto, Dragon Ball and One Piece as well as Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean and Barbie and Care Bears shirts.
