Eco conscious surf label Twothirds returns with their 2nd collection of timeless classics for SS12. No longer just a surf streetwear brand, Twothirds’ have matured into a line of finely crafted menswear that’s inspired by the deep blue hues of the ocean.
Established in San Sebastian, Twothirds first began as a surf inspired street label that quickly progressed into a lifestyle brand with a deep connection with the ocean and with garments that are free from passing trends. Says Twothirds “The name Twothirds comes from the notion that two-thirds of our planet is covered by ocean. It is what makes us who we are and what gives us so much joy. We aim to address like-minded people, who are awake and aware of the immense value of our oceans and are deeply connected to surfing but also have a thirst for style and substance.”
For the SS12 collection, Twothirds continues their commitment to proctecting the ocean with ocean protection agency Oceana, reflected through classic pieces that were designed with longevity in mind. The new collection has a clean aesthetic, refined palette and clever materials that include striped crewnecks, lightweight jackets and sophisticated shorts that are all made from high end recycled fabrics. Not only does Twothirds engage in various initiatives to create activism and awareness, 10% of every garment sold is donated to protect the world’s oceans with Oceana.
