It’s a season of love and peace and boyish highlines for Topshop.
For SS15, expect a uniformed trend of urban military with the return of the utility trousers and shacket with cargo pocket detailing, and all-in-one jumpsuits and shirt dresses fastened with double D-ring belts. Smart glam of the higher ranks come in the forms of relaxed fabrications with slubby linen blends, teamed with space dye knits and jerseys, whereas grey mark ribs and tees and Breton stripes exude the Naval twist.
Besides that, a smart urban ethos that is a catalyst of modern downtown Brooklyn and Paris sophistication can be spotted in Topshop’s new collection too. Soft ruffles assume a tomboyish attitude when layered with slouchy tuxedo-inspired separates, chic jumpsuits, sleeveless jackets, longline trenches and duster coats. Whereas beautiful florals are modernised in unusual asymmetrical hemlines, soft layering and contrasting colours of minimalistic black and white to pops of pinks, nudes and camels.
