Topman SS09: Motel Arizona
British highstreet brand Topman has just dropped details of its Spring Summer 09 line. Featuring 4 different looks: Motel Arizona, Chelsea Arts Club, Spring Break and Darjeeling, JUICE reveals a different look every week this month kicking it off with the predominantly vintage Americana of Motel Arizona.
If you check into this look, you’ll probaby never leave. Like something straight out of golden age Hollywood flicks about messed up mid-western teens, or if that’s going back too far, 21 Jump Street, images of hustlers, chancers and teenage runaways are apparent throughout the Motel Arizona line.
Vintage sun bleached t-shirts matched with Hispanic floral print shorts go all golf punk, whilst bright checked shirting twinned with classic 50s washed denim jeans is bad-boy to the bone.
The fusion of vintage Americana, sta-prest styling and Hispanic florals is most obvious when slinky floral print shirts and crisp white vests are worn underneath black tuxedo jackets. Paired with last season’s coloured Ray Ban Wayfarers, any weekend wardrobe worries you might have will be done and dusted.
