Topman’s latest indulgence – the fashion plimsoll has finally arrived here in Malaysia with the launch of the Kooky Shoes Spring Summer 08 collection. Originally launched in Topman flagship stores in UK in December 2006 it proved so phenomenally successful that it quickly established itself as Topman’s best-ever selling shoe and the market’s leading plimsoll.
The high-fashion plimsoll uses a classic Oxford upper pattern on a canvas sport shoe for a mix and match effect that can be worn trad stylee or dressed up for occasions. Of course seeing as a pair of Kooky’s are flying off UK shelves at the rate of one sold every 3 minutes, the Topman design team have had to expanded the line from its initial core styles of black, white and grey colourways to include bright hues, prints and patterns and different fabrications. The myriad choices should ensure that Kooky will be the name on everyone’s lips and feet for a while yet. So put your best foot forward, fellas, shoes do make the man. J
