Toni&Guy Interactive Collection Launch @ Toni&Guy KL Salon
Toni&Guy’s beautiful New York loft style flagship store at Patent House Jalan Bukit Bintang unveiled their SS10 ‘Interactive’ Collection with an awesome presentation by internationally renowned Efi Davies and Jane Stacey from Toni&Guy’s UK Artistic and Technical team. Seeing that they have 11 British Hairdressing Awards behind them together with the brand being the official haircare brand at London Fashion Week, it was gonna be a good show. The models were going to even wear stuff from London fashion designer, Giles Deacon! We also couldn’t help but love Efi’s pink/red pretty Bettie Page hair. Jane Stacey looks uncannily like Stella McCartney too.
Toni&Guy’s SS10 collection is called ‘Interactive’ because it presents the deep, continuous and integral connection between hair and the evolving world of fashion. Trend driven, each style is ‘tailored to reflect your individuality and is inspired by the innovation and creativity that unfolds’. A special addition to the collection were 5 designers’ runway looks that were translated from catwalk to trends into wearable everyday styles.
After the stunning visual presentation Efi and Jane explained to us throughout about the process right down to the colour and cut technique of each hairstyle. JUICE really liked the clothes too! The highlight of the show was saved for the last, a model strutted down the walkway with their ‘Avant Garde’ hair creation and dress that was totally mind blowing and fashion week runway worthy and the model looked like the alien in Aliens (the Sigourney Weaver one)! I wonder how that do’ would work in a club though…
