Japanese streetwear label Monkey Time has collaborated with established outdoors brand Timberland for an exclusive capsule collection that pays tribute to classic items from eras long gone – with an updated edge, of course.
Comprising of a crew neck sweatshirt, a hooded sweatshirt, and a six-panel cap with autumnal tones that are inspired by the Timberland Roll Top boots, the capsule collection is designed with a contemporary silhouette in mind — oversized and relaxed. The pieces tastefully incorporate elements of Timberland in the designs, for instance, adopting the brand’s Yellow Boots’ shoelaces as the back zip closure and the boots’ eyelets at the armpit vents. At the backs of both crew neck sweaters and hoodie bear a significant Timberland logo that’s purposefully misaligned for a further amplification of the trendy unstructured look.
And going on the current style zeitgeist, the collection has their own version of the ‘dad hat’; the six-panel baseball cap that’s available in three earth tones.
