In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October), Timberland gave their iconic 6″ waterproof boots a makeover by injecting a rosy shade of pink, showing support for the research and outreach programmes that go into fighting breast cancer. Together with Susan G. Komen – the only organisation that addresses breast cancer issues thoroughly in order to make the biggest impact – the limited edition collaboration is a grand way to do good while looking good.
To represent the strength of all breast cancer survivors and their families, the sturdy boots are made with a bright pink nubuck body, as well as the Susan G. Komen ribbon on the tongue of the boot. Additionally, around 5,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in Malaysia alone, with an estimation of 1.6 million diagnoses worldwide. Since the release of the boots, Timberland has donated $25,000 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Each pair of the limited edition Timberland Susan G. Komen 6-Inch Premium Waterproof Boots retail at RM899, available at every Timberland stores nationwide.
