The Swagger Salon’s ‘White Label’ Collection

DSC09568

It’s been a year since The Swagger Salon opened its first flagship store in Georgetown, Penang. To commemorate this milestone, the streetwear label designed a small-scale collection entitled ‘White Label’. Featuring five pieces, the first of which are the collection’s two snapbacks — one made from solid red wool-blend fabric with The Selfmade Society label on the front panel to make it that more eye-catching in case the bright red colour doesn’t do the trick, and the other is a grey fleece snapback featuring the barber’s pole in lieu of the aforementioned label on front of cap. Next, a tailored denim button-down shirt paired with wooden buttons — available in both long and short sleeve variants. What would a brand responsible for popularising varsity jackets under its Lansi and Taikor labels be without yet another varsity for the new drop? Incomplete. Making the collection whole is the heavy melange varsity jacket; it features an embroidery of The Swagger Salon’s logo — the iconic pole, duh — and ‘Selfmade’ on the back. The ‘White Label’ also marks the first full collection the streetwear brand has produced under that name.
