Malaysia’s leading streetwear store Sole What? tells us what’s cool on the streets with its picks of the hottest kicks in town. We cut it old school with Converse’s Jack Purcell collection this month.
Converse’s Jack Purcell line of kicks are designed and named after John Edward Purcell, who was the Canadian National Badminton champion in both 1929 and 1930, later becoming world champion in 1933. He designed this particular athletic shoe in 1935 with the initial purpose of providing more protection and support for players on the court. Converse bought over the trademark rights in the 70s and turned it into an iconic pair of shoes for all. This clean and simple classic with the signature “smile” across the toe is still one of Converse’s most popular models. Time to get vintage.
Sold exclusively at Sole What? S-229A, 2nd Floor The Gardens, Mid Valley City, Lingkaran Syed Putra, KL. T: 03 2287 5811. Check out solewhat.blogspot.com for more releases.
