Rockport and New Balance Concept Store Launch + Limited Edition Sneakers
Time to get your running shoes on! Renowned US brands New Balance and Rockport will officially open their concept stores at Fahrenheit 88 this June.
Based on an international concept that is being used by Rockport stores in the US, Russia, Hong Kong and India, the Fahrenheit 88 store is the first Rockport concept store in a series of openings planned in major malls across the country within the next few months. The New Balance’s ‘Past, Present and Future’ concept store replicates an old Boston shop house with design references taken from New Balance’s archives. To capture New Balance’s 105 years of legacy, the interior is adorned with wooden display windows, iron chandeliers, old telephones, as well as a treadmill for shoe testing and foot measuring tools for the perfect fit.
New Balance’s recent collaboration with Australian premium lifestyle store High And Lows (HAL) has resulted in the interpretation of NB’s iconic 577 running sneakers, called the ‘Night and Day’ pack while a joint project with Scotland-based online sneakers store Hanon-shop and textiles manufacturer, Eschler of Switzerland called ‘Bionic’ sees the classic M576 running shoes being remodeled with Ceramic E3+, an innovative fabric that is weather resistant and extremely durable while retaining the absolute comfort of its wearer.
The ‘Night and Day’ pack and the ‘Bionic’ project’s M576 sneakers are limited and only 15 pairs and 16 pairs respectively are available in Malaysia. So grab them while you can at the New Balance ‘Past, Present and Future’ concept store.
Rockport and New Balance concept stores will be officially launched at Fahrenheit 88 on 18 June.
