PUMA is bringing its suede shoes back for its AW15 collection in both the classic black-and-white and black-on-black colourway. Besides playing the role of the protector of our feet, these shoes were also the most sought out pair of sneakers in the ’80s by athletes — specifically basketball players and runners. Given the wide spread influence athletes have concerning sportswear popularity, these shoes were destined to gain traction. But it’s not known just for its design, its durability is as big of a reason for its popularity; perforated detailing at the mid-foot with grippy rubber outsoles made specially for a better grip on a basketball court and running tracks. Lo and behold, 47 years later, it’s still PUMA’s most iconic silhouette yet.
