“Imagine there are no countries,” John Lennon once sang. “It isn’t hard to do.” And it definitely effortless for Pestle & Mortar with their new Spring ’15 collection, ‘Crossing Borders’.
Drawing inspirations from across the sea, this collection features a line of elevated designs using reflective materials, prints, and exquisite denim. Key pieces include the Vader Long Sleeve Shirt, a buttoned down shirt that defies conventionality with its elastic bomber styling, and The Icon shirts with motifs of iconic landmarks and personalities from the Southeast Asia region. Not forgetting a series of t-shirts with graphics of the Southeast Asia map, the Trojan Horse, as well as scripts of the array of spoken languages exchanged in and around the region.
