Nike Sportswear Summer 2010

This summer it’s all about football (or soccer as Americans call it) whether you like it or not. World Cup is approaching and the world will be have their googly eyes on tv screens cheering their favourite team on. With Nike Sportswear’s Summer 2010 Collection, rest assured everyone has something to wear for this massive occasion.

Nike Sportswear’s Summer newest collection is for the footie lover in you, serving to inspire with the spirit of football with gear you see worn on the pitch crossed over with street wear. Excellent stuff! Key items include Nike’s GS Polo, N98 track jacket and LunarLite Rejeven8 sneakers.

The Grand Slam Polo may look like any other polo tee to you but there is more to it than meets the eye. Subtle construction for ventilation and special fabric knitting for extra comfort include some of the high tech tweaks on this wardrobe staple. Even the designers at Nike Sportswear confess that they’ve geeked out over something as small as the size of the buttons to make sure they move seamlessly into their holes.

Nike Sportswear has collabo-ed with key artists from around the world to celebrate World Cup in a way that connects national team fans around the world. It all started in 2006 when Nike collabo-ed with its first group of artists to design and curate their very own space that represented their respective countries.

By working with new and established artist like graphic artist James Jarvis from England, graff artist Nunca from Brazil, Delta from Netherlands, illustrator So Me from France, Mister Cartoon from USA and Kronk from South Africa, they’ve created alternative National Team kits for you footie fans by including types of apparel and accessories that you would get in a footballer’s bag. The kit has matching colours as footballer’s on-field uniforms but with a special artistic twist from artists. Are you excited? We are!
