The Nike Air Force 1 has done a brilliant job at protecting its wearer’s feet while looking sleek and not weighing the equivalent of two anchors for the past thirty four years, but this pair may just be its best one amongst the 2,000 iterations of the silhouette. Firstly, it’s made using Flyknit aka Nike’s quintessential light-as-a-feather type of material — making this pair the lightest one in the history of all AF1’s. The skeleton of the sneaker remains as its original design but with minor upgrades; the yarn on the raised tip is thicker and firmer — don’t go there — and it’s the first Flyknit shoe to be complemented with a leather Swoosh logo. To summarise: It’s easy on the eyes and the bank account if starving for two months is possible, and it’s super light.
