MAC Magic, Mirth and Michief @ Suria KLCC
There are days when the weather is just right and there are hardly any cars on the road. This Wednesday evening certainly wasn’t one of those days. 2 hours in an enclosed space is madness. MADNESS. After 2 hours at a complete standstill, I was starting to believe that I might actually be in a carpark that was pretending to be a city road. But despite the long and patience testing jouney to KLCC, this was a MAC event I am talking about. And there’s a lot I’ll put up with for makeup, especially MAC makeup!
Thanks to the awesomest parking spot in the world (thank you, The Secret) I reached KLCC’s concourse area soon enough to catch MAC unveiling their Holiday 2009 collection, themed ‘Magic, Mirth and Mischief’. The colours of the season: pinks and silver. Or so I guessed from the surrounding decor.
Demonstrating MAC’s fun factor rather than get down to the serious work of transforming someone’s face from blah to wah! MAC makeup artists were to be found spinning hula hoops and playing Twister. Which while odd for a makeup event was all in good fun and nothing a few glasses of pink bubbly couldn’t fix.
After many, many rounds of hula hoopin’ and twistin’, 4 models escorted by 4 male models in really cute pink cardis mad etheir way onto the main stage. Wearing silver and pink tassle/fringe dress these coudl easily be the second greatest Halloween costumes EVER . The greatest ever remains Christopher Kane x Topshop, which you can check here.
