Kiss Of The West: Guess Fall 2011 Campaign
Inspired by a tale as old as time, Guess’ Fall 2011 campaign paints a story through the lens of renowned fashion photographer Ellen Von Unwerth, between 2 lovers – a saloon singer and a lone cowboy through photography.
Shot in black and white, Ellen’s campaign pictures are reminiscent of old classic John Wayne western movies of a story unfolding between rising star Amber Heard as a saloon singer primping in her motel before a performance while rugged model Silviu Tolu waits outdoors, both wearing key items from GUESS’ Fall collection. Amber is seen wearing cuffed skinny jeans, cropped denim jackets and knit bustiers while Silvio wears western inspired denims jackets, and bombers worn with jeans.
The highlight of the Fall/Holiday 2011 collection is the season’s 2 key denim fits for womenswear, the 70s style flares and the cropped cigarette while the menswear features plaid shirts and washed out indigo that can be paired with Guess hand-crafted denim basics. Guess turns this Fall collection up a notch by featuring faux fur, leopard and faux leather on dresses, tops, jackets to accessories like scarves, shoes and clutches.
