I Love Vans, I Love Crossover @ Crossover, JB
After scoping out and reviewing the many happening joints in JB for JUICEonline.com/venues, we were thrilled to find out that there was yet another cool event hitting the southern city. ‘I Love Vans, I Love Crossover’ was the love child of Crossover Concept Store and Vans, graced by reps from local streetwear communities like Streething, More than Hype and Clanxmag.

Niche streetwear store Crossover held a month long contest where fans nationwide got to participate to win an assortment of prizes which included 23 pairs of Vans kicks and 3 unreleased Vans Vault Sneakers.
Not surprising was the number of sneaker freaks lining up as early as 10am outside the store to register and of course to get their hands on one of the limited anniversary tees which marked Crossover’s 6th year in the JB streetwear scene.
The store was filled to the brim the entire afternoon with guests and streetwear fans sipping on Savanna Dry Cider while being entertained by DJ collective KBnL and DJ I’mPulse’s non-stop pumping beats of filtered house, dashing electro, karaoke indie and ebullient techno.
Later that evening, we were treated to impressive performances by the likes of 2-time Asia X-Games gold-medalist, Pa’Din Musa, and his crew who grinded and 360Û« flipped the crowd away. Not forgetting, live graffiti performances by Iqbal a.k.a. Floor Mafia and the Super Sunday Crew consisting of Burp and Kioue Sense who produced smashing art pieces of their own interpretations of Vans on canvas.
Streetwear, alcohol, music, graffiti and prizes? That’s right. We loved it and can’t wait for Crossover to surprise us with their next event!
I Love Vans, I Love Crossover went down at Aeon Tebrau City JB on Saturday 4 June 2011. Check out snapshots of the party at our gallery. More deets at crossoverconceptstore.blogspot.com.
