Classics with a contemporary twist and sportswear with sharp tailoring are what David Beckham has selected as his essential pieces for the H&M Modern Essentials Spring ’16 Collection.
Clean and sharp, with lots of contrasting textures and crisp colours, these H&M pieces can be worn in so many different ways, not only for three months, but for the seasons ahead as well.
The light beige tailored suit in stretch cotton works as the perfect transitional piece for the spring season, while the clean-silhouetted navy suit in cotton linen can be complemented and kept fresh with a sailor neck striped T-shirt.
The navy Harrington jacket with matching navy tailored pants and navy t-shirt is the perfect outfit for the office hours, or dressed down casual for the weekends, whereas the car coat is modernised in nylon, and jogging pants given a new formality in a wool mix fabric.
Besides that, the technical cotton sweatshirt has a 3D crinkled texture – an innovative take on sportswear classics, while the denim workwear jacket and tapered jeans offer a vintage inspired uniform. Noticeably subtle are the sharp aesthetic to casual and sports-inspired pieces, such as the navy polo shirts with white notches on the lapels.
Another Beckham bundle to look out for at the nearest H&M stores is the David Beckham Bodywear SS16 collection, featuring sportswear classics elevated with new shapes, fresh details, and urban neutrals that continue to push the definition of bodywear.
The crewneck sweatshirt is updated with details such as raw edges and inside-out seams on the collar and raglan sleeves for a worn effect. Whereas the sweatshirt has side zips in the seams for ventilation and provide ease of movement. These are available in neutral tones of khaki green, grey, and black.
Joggers in grey melange or technical cotton feature essential technical details like zip pockets and rope drawstrings, to mix and match with T-shirts and vests with raw edges and neutral shades.
The H&M Modern Essentials Selected by David Beckham Spring ’16 collection, and the David Beckham Bodywear SS16 collection will be available at selected H&M stores in Malaysia from February 25 onwards.
