When you think of Havaianas flip flops, you think of Brazil’s most famous export (after hot models, surely?) and Brazilians love to party. And so, in true Brazilian style, Havaianas Malaysia threw one helluva party last Friday night to celebrate their arrival to Malaysia and their latest collection for 2011.
What an exciting way to spend a Friday night, especially when Friday evening traffic was surprisingly forgiving – except coming out of Midvalley Megamall. Other than that, it was peachy keen. We were served drinks before the party began and soon the stage was filled with samba dancers dancing to Brazilian drums. How do they get their feet and their bootay to shake that fast? Ah, those little mysteries in life.
A true Brazilian type party isn’t complete with a hoda from the performers of Capoeira Camara. Hey isn’t that Azura Zainal we see among the other capoira dancers? Henry Golding and Serena C took the duty of hosts for the night, giving us a little insight and trivia about Havaianas. The fashion show was the highlight of the night and Havaianas thought of quite a few creative ways of having the models present the flip flops on the catwalk like having them strapped around the neck. The newest Havaianas collection has exciting new colours and ranges for 2011. Be sure to check it out at Pavi!
Havaianas Malaysia Launch Party was held on 21 January 2010 @ La Bodega, Pavilion. Be sure to stay tuned and check out our gallery for more pix.
