HANON x ASICS Tiger GEL-LYTE III ‘Solstice’

Astronomy has been a reoccurring theme during Hanon and ASICS’ collaborative efforts together, this pair of Gel Lyte followed suit as it was inspired after solstice. It’s a period of time when the sun reaches its highest and lowest point in the sky as early as noon. The ‘Solstice’ is made of blue azure suede, purple nubuck around its upper, and pigskin material. Sorry again to our halal friends. The colour palette isn’t the only element that relates back to its theme; there’s also a tonal 3M underlay, reflective Tiger stripes, and woven laces. This is so whenever the shoe is under bright lights, it’ll show off different shades of blue similar to an evening sky. On top of that, a printed Celtic knot together with a flame pattern can be seen around its collar lining — to commemorate Hanon’s Scottish roots and the association ancient Celts have with the solstice.
