What do you get when you combine a fashion brand with unique artistic visions, and another with an uncompromising passion for functionality? A rather fashionable fight against HIV/AIDS!

Jean Paul Gaultier has gotten together with Eastpak for another edition of the Eastpak Artist Studio in support of Designers Against AIDS (DAA). This limited edition collection evokes Eastpak’s military heritage with its lacing and corsetry, details that play essential parts in the history of Jean Paul Gaultier’s designs. Besides that, the main collection draws inspiration from Eastpak’s college and street heritage, represented through a bomber jacket and a denim jacket, both iconic pieces that are continually reinterpreted in the designer’s collections.

The Eastpak x Jean Paul Gaultier collection includes seven designs altogether, three of which are released as numbered and limited editions. All backpacks feature the overstitched Bretton stripe on the back – a signature Gaultier design element.

For all sales made from the Eastpak x Jean Paul Gaultier collection, part of the proceeds will go to DAA.
