Da Mouth For Puma @ The Opera
‘Energetic’, ‘colourful’ and ‘joyful’ are the words leading sportswear brand Puma swears by. Already Puma’s 2nd event so far this year, Puma had their newest Asian ambassadors Da Mouth continue their ‘Create Your Style’ campaign.
By 8pm the club was full of Puma and Da Mouth fans alike, waiting for the Asian “Black Eyed Peas” to arrive. This group really is Asia in a nutshell – the only female in the group is actually Japanese while the boys are Canadian/Taiwanese, American/Taiwanese and a Taiwanese born Japanese making Da Mouth fluent in english, mandarin, japanese and korean!
Our JUICE DJ Quest home girl DJ Faith got the crowd hyped up from behind the decks til an MC announced a surprise opening act from a band. Surely it was Bunkface? Surprisingly not, actually. ‘Indie rock darlings’ Couple took to the stage instead. After Couple’s fun performance it was really the moment all Da Mouth fans have been waiting for. Da Mouth performed songs from their new album like ‘One Two Three’ while models paraded PUMA’s latest SS10 collection styled by the Tongue In Chic crew. Was it colourful? Their new SS10 certainly was – energetic? Definitely so, the performance was bursting at the seam with energy. Too bad I couldn’t understand a word of it all except when one of their choruses went “shining, shining, shining…”
