Converse x AC/DC
When iconic shoe meets iconic metal band you get Converse’s latest rock-inspired series. Having collaborated with others bands of note in the past, this AW09 Chucks celebrates the awesometasticness that is AC/DC with a shoe that encapsulates the spirit of rock and roll.
AC/DC emerged from ’70s and was formed in Australia by 2 Scottish brothers. Considered the forefathers of heavy metal, AC/DC’s thunderous bass, wall-of-sound guitars and arresting vocals like a some thunderclap bolt form of lighting – loud and straight out of nowhere. The Fall 2009 AC/DC collection takes it’s design cues from AC/DC albums and concert graphics, and is a showcase of a discography and visual history of one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Besides Chucks, the Star Player Scout pays tribute to Angus Young’s classic schoolboy sneaker.
The AC/DC Chuck Taylor All Star shoe is available in high top and Oxford versions and come in black, black/multi, glazed ginger, red/white and black AC/DC print canvas versions, while the AC/DC Star Player 75 Scout Oxford shoes come in dark forest.
