Designer and founder of Chic Yamada, Irene See, was inspired by a tale of two girls from two polar opposite worlds this season. There’s Tara Becker, the rocker chic fashionista and Rebecca Wellington, a trust fund baby with glamorous clothes to boot. Following hot off the trail of the successful Chic Yamada Spring 2010 High Street Collection, this Autumn Winter collection is looking more bad @ss chic than ever.
The major themes of this collection are of anti animal cruelty, and mixing dark, luscious colours that autumn and winter seasons bring. Using faux fur, leather tights, pull sleeve tops with the puffiest of shoulders; the collection pulls together two opposite lifestyle clothes styling to create the look of glamorous high street fashion. Opposites attracting plays a huge role in the storyline of this collection, and when you play with soft maxi dresses and edgy leather gear – it works.
