Bernhard Willhelm x Mykita Sunnies

Say hello to Luke and Franz. They’re both limited edition mirrored gold aviators that were created by collaborators Mykita and Bernhard Willhelm. Luke was actually finished by hand and Franz was inspired and named after legendary downhill ski champion Franz Klammer. You should remember their names because these shades are positively sick.

Now the same site is selling Mykita x Bernhard Willhelm’s bad a$$ shades. Other things to take note of is that ‘Luke’ is the oversized version of Mykita’s best selling model whereas ‘Franz’s Spartan design is “a conscious reference to the inadequacies of past manufacturing methods”. Ponder that then go to www.oki-ni.com where these boys are on sale.

According to Oki-Ni’s website both models “are inspired by ski events of the 1976 Innsbruck Winter Olympics. The collection is a natural extension of Bernhard Willhelm’s A/W mainline with ski and sportswear 70s aesthetics. By joining forces with Mykita, the eyewear label known for their ultra-light frames, Bernhard’s created these aviator-style sheet metal sunglasses.”
