Ben Sherman x The Beatles SS16 Collection

Two pivotal things happened back in ‘60s Britain that forever changed the course of the English country, and subsequently, the world; Ben Sherman and The Beatles. This season, the two icons have “come together” for a very special capsule collaboration that will catch even the eyes of Lucy in the sky with diamonds.

Ben Sherman has obtained exclusive access to the fab four’s back catalogue of imageries, including those of the band’s 1967 studio album release, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, which saw a psychedelic departure from their usual sound, and one that came to define the era, particularly in London. Using the famous Lonely Hearts Club Band drum as a starting point, the collection combines the British musical heritage of Swinging London and ‘60s psychedelia with the typically sharp Ben Sherman look – from graphic print t-shirts to Harrington jackets with The Beatles logo.

From pop artists Peter Blake and Jann Haworth’s unforgettable and bold album artwork, (which was based on an original ink drawing by lead Paul McCartney himself), right down to the use of colour and collage and the growing hippie influence at the time – with a little help from our friends the Ben Sherman design team – comes a collaboration with a modern spin.

The Ben Sherman x The Beatles SS16 collection is now available at all Ben Sherman outlets located at Pavilion KL and Bangsar Village II.
