Adidas Originals x Star Wars
When you get 2 cult status brands that are worlds apart and merge them together, it is bound to be colossal. When JUICE got in the word that Adidas Originals will collaborate with Lucas’ Star Wars, we couldn’t contain ourselves and had to share pronto. You heard it here first.
No galaxy is too far away for Adidas Originals. Having previously collabo-ed with the likes of Jeremy Scott, Vespa and even Kermit the Frog, it is no surprise that Adidas has gone 1 step further with their STAR WARSâ„¢ SS10 line.
According to Ben Pruess, adidas Originals VP of Product Marketing he says that the collabo between Adidas Originals and Lucasfilm Ltd. “has been an exciting process. For fans of the films, sneaker heads or those that love fun and fresh designs, the collection gives you the chance to find the force or join the dark side.”
No images are available right now but we can reveal that the collection is inspired by the galactic saga, and will consist of limited editions as well as mass distribution footwear, apparel and accessories for men, women and kids. Classic Adidas Originals track tops and several legendary sneaker styles are represented with characters and scenes from the epic saga in reinterpreted versions. Darth Vader and Stormtroopers yo!
The Spring/Summer STAR WARS™ collection will be introduced at retail beginning January 2010 but Adidas Originals has had to reveal this info now owing to worries of a possible leak. Select retailers as well as adidas Originals Stores worldwide will carry the collection and the collaboration will also include a Fall/Winter 2010 line with an exciting new assortment of footwear and apparel.
